2022 Charity Wrap-up
Here at Altair, we’re committed to being good corporate citizens and doing the right thing as part of our culture. Within our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) efforts each year, we host and partake in several charitable initiatives to raise funds and donations for our non-profit partners, such as Move For Hunger and Goodwill Industries.
Take a look below at some of the biggest events we participated in throughout the 2022 year.
Grinch Food Drive in Who-ville
This past December we hosted our third-annual Who-ville holiday fundraiser, where we partnered with Move For Hunger and Renegades Soccer Club to successfully collect 12,370 pounds of food.
Between the day’s in-person food drive haul in Frisco, Texas and monetary donations made both in-person and online through the event’s website, our team members and partners raised enough to equal more than 45,000 meals to be given to those in need that holiday season!
The Stratosphere Jump
After raising $10,000 worth of donations in the name of eliminating food waste in partnership with Move For Hunger, Altair Global’s Chief Executive Officer, Chad Sterling, and Zeke Oaks, Vice President of Alexander’s Mobility Services, proved that they were both quite literally ready to throw themselves off a building to help feed those in need. Once the goal amount was hit that would allow Move For Hunger to feed more than 25,000 people, the two philanthropic dare devils headed to the top of the stratosphere in Las Vegas during Worldwide ERC’s Global Workforce Symposium 2022 and plummeted 829 feet off the skyscraper.
Goodwill Luncheon
Everyone enjoys a luncheon with a good cause, and Goodwill Industries, Inc. is one that’s near and dear to our hearts here at Altair Global. With Altair’s President and Chief Operating Officer, Kathryn Cassidy, on the Goodwill Industries of Dallas Board of Directors, our team joined in solidarity as Altair proudly sponsored the organization’s Decide to Rise fundraiser alongside our supplier partners Prime Lending and Fidelity. Together the luncheon raised $1.4 million to empower people with disabilities and other barriers through job training and employment.
Texas Big Star Half Marathon
Alongside the North Texas Community Giving Foundation, Altair was proud to sponsor this annual Frisco, Texas event in 2022, where together they helped raise nearly $300,000 for non-profit organizations in the company’s headquarters’ local community.
