Altair Global Achieves Management Level Score with CDP for Third Year

The CDP is a global nonprofit currently celebrating it’s 25th anniversary that runs the world’s environmental disclosure system for companies, cities, states, and regions.

For the third year in a row, Altair Global has achieved a score of B on the 2024 CDP climate change score report – the highest level a small-to-medium enterprise could earn in the reporting year. The score maintains Altair’s Management level status and shows our commitment to improving environmental efforts in all areas of our business.

Further, Altair earned this level across reporting categories, demonstrating best-in-class efforts in areas including Environmental Policies, Value Chain Engagement, Energy, Governance, Emissions Reduction Initiatives, Risk Disclosure, and Business Strategy.

2024 was a momentous year for Altair’s Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) efforts overall. In our 2024 ESG Report, we detail recent achievements and progress to our goals. Related to the environment, this includes tremendous efforts with our Climate Impact and Climate Positive programs with our supplier partners in partnership with OneTreePlanted, Ecologi, and Greeley-Weld Habitat for Humanity; submitting our first sustainability report to Watershed; and achieved Silver with EcoVadis for the 10th year in a row, which places Altair amongst the top 25% of responsible companies assessed, the top 15% for Environment, and the top 8% for Sustainable Procurement.

“We are proud to have achieved a B (Management Level) score from CDP, validating our commitment to environmental sustainability and transparency. This recognition reflects our ongoing efforts to measure, manage, and reduce our environmental impact. We see this as both a milestone and a motivator to continue driving meaningful change in our industry.”

CDP Scores, Explained

Leadership (A score) (*not applicable to 2024)
Organizations must show environmental leadership, disclosing action on climate change, deforestation or water security, and demonstrate best practice in strategy and action. These companies will have undertaken actions such as setting science-based targets, creating a climate transition plan, developing water-related risk assessment strategies, or reporting on deforestation impact for all relevant operations, supply chains and commodities.

Management (B-/B score)
Companies that score a B have addressed the environmental impacts of their business and ensure good environmental management. A B-score indicates that a company is showing some evidence of managing its environmental impact but is not undertaking actions that mark it out as a leader in its field.

Awareness (C-/C score)
Awareness also has C and C- scores, with the differentiator being the level of awareness a company has shown in their response. The awareness score measures the comprehensiveness of a company’s evaluation of how environmental issues intersect with its business, and how its operations affect people and ecosystems.

Disclosure (D-/D score)
At disclosure level, companies are awarded roughly one point per data point provided. To score a D over a D- organizations need to have disclosed a more extensive set of information. However, a D-/D score is just the starting point for organizations that want to demonstrate that they have begun their environmental journey.

Failure to disclose (F score)
An F score is given when a requested company fails to disclose through CDP.
