Altair’s Shawkneka Warren and Jim Edwards Speak at WERC’s Americas Mobility Conference 2018
PLANO, TEXAS (May 21, 2018) – Two of Altair Global’s team members from our Plano office spoke at this year’s Worldwide ERC®’s Americas Mobility Conference (AMC) held in Dallas, Texas, from May 16-18. Vice President of Client Services, Shawkneka Warren, GMS, presented for the first time in her global mobility career. Senior Vice President of Supplier Partnerships, Jim Edwards, spoke on two panel discussions at this year’s conference.
Warren teamed up with an all-star, Altair client panel, including representatives from Texas Instruments, Inc., VMware and Air Liquide. Warren’s panel discussed the topic, “Go Big! Soar in Your Global Mobility Role Strategically,” where each speaker dissected how being sensitive to customers’ needs can lead to future success. There was standing room only as the audience learned about today’s industry challenges from the client’s perspective. After the speakers reflected on the current state, they explained where the industry is heading, and what the key goals are to transform a mobility program for future strategic success.
Edwards spoke on two different panel discussions the first covering the request for proposal (RFP) process and the second focusing on the supplier selection process. In his first panel, Edwards discussed and expanded upon the different types of RFPs and strategic approaches to take for each category. The second panel topic detailed how to become a supplier to a relocation management company.
The theme of this year’s conference was to, “Be Bold,” and the speaker’s topic selection was limitless. Warren felt that this, “empowered attendees to ask the questions that need to be addressed within our industry, and receive meaningful and invaluable answers back from top leaders in our industry.”
The next Worldwide ERC conference is being held in Seattle, Washington, in October.
