Anuar is Altair Global’s Data Protection Officer dedicated to navigating the labyrinth of global privacy laws and regulations. This devoted father to two young daughters and avid supporter of the San Antonio Spurs brings a wealth of expertise to his role, ensuring Altair remains up-to-date and buttoned up when it comes to data protection and privacy policies, procedures, and best practices to achieve its compliance goals while keeping clients’ and customers’ data safe — which is no surprise, given his top two CliftonStrengths of Learner and Achiever.

Anuar’s educational journey includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with high honors from the University of Houston, complemented by a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University. But given his Learner CliftonStrength paired with his fifth strength of Futuristic, his education doesn’t stop there. He holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, is Certified in Cybersecurity (CC), and has earned the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designation, the leading certification for security professionals. In 2025, he aims to further expand his expertise by pursuing the Certified AI Governance Professional (AIGP) and the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) credentials, both recognized as leading certifications in AI governance and privacy law.

With Altair since 2023, Anuar leads our data protection efforts within the Technology team. His extensive privacy and cybersecurity experience ensures Altair complies with data protection laws like the EU’s GDPR, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). That may sound like a lot of acronyms and some heavy topics, but, Anuar puts it simply that “privacy is impossible without security, yet compliance is the keystone for effective security and privacy programs.”

Driven by his top five CliftonStrengths, which also include Responsibility and Input, Anuar’s strategic guidance empowers Altair to uphold the highest ethical, privacy, and security standards. When he’s not working passionately on this endeavor, you can find him on his next vacation with his wife and daughters — likely somewhere tropical, such as Florida or California, where he can soak up some sunshine.
