Meet Jeff Douglass
Chief Financial Officer
If you look up Chief Financial Officer in the dictionary, it includes a picture of Altair Global’s CFO, Jeff Douglass. He’s a graduate of Notre Dame, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), pragmatic and highly numerate. Though he is a CFO through and through, he’s also incredibly laid-back, funny, soft-spoken and loves vacationing anywhere with a beach.
His favorite aspect of Altair is the people – the strong sense of camaraderie and mutual respect among teams and company-wide. In turn, he leads his own team by hiring great people and providing consistent mentorship, guidance and resources to not just lead, but to develop other leaders. He got into mobility by chance, but he’s successful in the industry because he knows, at the end of the day, it’s a people business, so he invests in people.
Jeff says karaoke should be outlawed, but likes classic rock. He jokes that he “plays” golf and old-man softball, but he’s always loved teamwork and a healthy sense of competition – watching college football, coaching his kids’ sports teams, listening to sports radio and re-reading the iconic sports novel “Boys in the Boat.” He grew up as an Air Force brat and has lived in Nebraska, Illinois, Maryland, Washington D.C., Alabama, Hawaii, Indiana and Texas – experiences that taught him how to make friends, how to be adaptable and how to truly empathize with what Altair Global customers go through every day.
